Are you interested in playing volleyball or basketball this winter? The RWC intramural league is looking for men for a basketball league, and men and women for a co-ed volleyball team.
The men’s basketball league will begin on January 8, with a practice night. League play will begin one week later on January 15. The game times will be 7:15, 8:15, 9:15 and 10:15 p.m.
Each league will play a single round robin plus a one and out tournament at the end of league play. The last place team will be dropped from tournament play. The winning team in each league will receive league t-shirts. Tournament winners either receive a team trophy or gift certificate.
The men’s basketball league signups will be held until Wednesday, November 3. If you are interested, you can sign up in the Peer Center, Room 104. Registration fees will be $20 paid upon registering. Cash and checks will be accepted with checks made out to UC.
The co-ed volleyball teams will be played on Thursday nights beginning January 4, with a practice night. The leagues will begin playing a week later the next Thursday. Game times will begin at 8 p.m. and 9 p.m. each week.
They will play double round robin, equaling 14 dates with three games played each date. The team with the best winning record will come in first. The winning team receives t-shirts and a team trophy or gift certificate.
The volleyball league signups will be held until Thursday, November 9, also in the Peer Center. Registration fees are $10 upon registering, and can be paid in the form of checks or cash also.
