Nominations sought for Who’s Who Among Junior College Students

The Student Life office is now accepting nominations for this year’s Who’s Who Among Students in American Junior Colleges. Nominees must satisfy the following criteria:

must be in their last year of study at RWC
must have successfully completed a minimum of 45 credit hours at RWC
must have a minimum RWC GPA as well as UC GPA of 2.5
must have demonstrated participation and leadership in RWC extracurricular (honorary, social or athletic) activities
must have exemplified citizenship and service to RWC
must have displayed citizenship and service to the community
must have exhibited the potential for future success and achievement.

Faculty, staff, or students may make the nominations. Students may also nominate themselves. Upon nomination, the students must complete a personal profile followed by two supporting recommendation forms that are available in the Student Life Office in Muntz 104. The nominees must also submit a personal essay explaining their contributions to RWC and justifying why they should recieve institutional support to the Who’s Who award.

Application packets must be submitted to Shelia Yates-Mattingly in the Student Life Office no later than February 9. The complete packet will be reviewed by a sub-committee of the Student Services Advisory Committee.
