The RWC African American History Month celebration in February will feature two main events. On Tuesday, February 20, there will be an educational forum presented by Dr. John Douglas.
On Wednesday, February 21, 11:30 a.m.-1:00 p.m., in the Ray’s Cafe area, Kym Hunter & The Professionals, back by popular demand after last year, will perform contemporary jazz selections representing roots in African American music history.
A taste of southern cuisine reflecting the southern heritage of African Americans will complement the event. The African American Month celebration is sponsored by the Multicultural Affairs Office.
