Considered as a necessity for the RWC Media Services Center, student workers have performed their duties with a sense of class and professionalism. The Media Department has undergone many changes over the last year and a half, moving all of its equipment and office material twice and still maintaining a functional environment for the students and staff. This could not have been possible without the help of students working for the Department, who share a huge responsibility in continuing the duties of the office.
The Media students distribute equipment, take orders for equipment sign-out, keep log records and even assist in production work. The school pays the students for their work, which earns them excellent on the job experience to prepare them for the professional workforce.
“We rely on the students,” said Mike Sanders, Director of Media Services. “With all of the changes we’ve been through, we would have surely sunk without them around.”
To reward the students’ hard work, the Media Center offers a monthly and quarterly Commitment to Excellence Award, to honor students who demonstrate exemplary service during their prospective time frames.
Keep up the good work!
