Every year the RWC Distinguished Teaching Award is given out to faculty who have displayed outstanding performance in teaching. This year the college is honoring Dr. Janice Denton, a full-time faculty member in the Chemistry Department, and Anna Hui, a part-time faculty member in the Biology Department.
This annual award honors faculty who have displayed outstanding contributions to the College and its students through teaching. These are faculty who communicate a sense of enthusiasm and enjoyment of teaching to both students and colleagues, instill a sense of confidence in students’ abilities, provide a stimulating and inspiring class environment and bring in a sense of reality to every lecture and class activity.
Professor Denton said she is very honored to have won the award. For 11 years she has been teaching Chemistry at RWC. She received a Ph.D. in Chemistry at the University of Cincinnati and acquired her undergraduate degree in Great Britain.
