The Electronic Media Technology program has announced the recipients of its annual Outstanding Achievement and Service awards. The academic program award winners are Clark Megerle, for the Outstanding Electronic Media Technology Associate’s Degree Graduate; John Schmidt for the Outstanding Electronic Media Professional Certificate Graduate; Joseph Weil for the Outstanding Media Criticism and Journalism Certificate Graduate; and Shanna Shelton for the Outstanding Electronic Media Technology Student Intern.
The Program Production award winners are Kristin Abney, Brian Hannon and Clark Megerle for E-media Tech promo spots; Peter J. Bender for the American Cinema web site; Aimie Gajus for Photographic Portfolio 1; Sharon Mooney for RWC-TV: Student Orientation Video; and Shanna Shelton for E-Media Monitor (graphic and icon design).
Also honored for Outstanding Achievement in Media Writing are Sharon Mooney and Lea Thompson for Women Make Music Videos (exhibit catalog).
The Department Staff Service Awards were awarded to Shanna Shelton for Outstanding Service in Media Production and John Schmidt for Outstanding Service Award for Media Support.
The awards will be formally given out at the RWC 2001 Student Awards Ceremony on May 18 at 7 p.m. in the RWC Theater.
