The Annual E-media Rite of Spring potluck barbecue and awards ceremony kicked off at 1 p.m. on Saturday, May 19. The picnic is set up by the Media Department and is an open invitation to all E-Media students and persons that participate in E-Media activities and classes. There was a huge gift giveaway at the beginning, consisting of many videos, programs and media trinkets, with a grand finale give away of two old Tascam audio workstations (not cheap).
Then the Media Center recognized outstanding student work by giving away several certificates and awards to students who distinguished themselves over the course of the year. All of the award recipients will be featured on the E-media “Best of the Year” CD-ROM due out in the near future. There was an array of food and fun for the E-media students, as everyone chipped in and had a good time.
