Rain fails to dampen Worldfest 2002

On May 3, Faces of RWC included digital images of RWC students, faculty, and staff, reflecting the RWC family of cultures.

On Monday, May 6, there was the world flag procession as well as a Delphi presentation on “Preparing for Global Employment.”

An International Fashion Show was the highlight of activities on Tuesday, May 7. International desserts were served. The event was sponsored by the International Student Club.

On Wednesday, May 8, rain again forced activities indoors, but the Diversity Fair went on, with many booths sponsored by various organizations at the college, along with musical entertainment provided by “Jammin'” John Kraimer, Cincinnati Donauschwaben Schubplatters, Voxsonic, and Mike Roos and Pat McHugh.

Two culturelogues were presented on Thursday, May 9. Mei Ying Minnich spoke on Malaysia, and Ruth Benander and Debbie Page spoke on Ilmenau, Germany.

The week culminated on Friday with a courtyard cookout with DJ Willie C., providing music. Activities included basketball, volleyball, and a spades card game sponsored by the African American Interest Group.
