Are you having trouble with your foreign language class? Do you need audio or computer material to help you study a foreign language? The RWC Foreign Language Lab can help. The Foreign Language Lab is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. until 8 p.m. It is also open Friday mornings from 9 a.m. until noon. The Lab is in Muntz Hall, Room 350. Beginning Saturday, November 2, the Lab will be open Saturdays from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m.
Students can use the Lab for the following: complete the audio program for the class you are taking, work any software that accompanies the textbook for your class, work on supplemental software, do research for projects for language classes, get help from a tutor, and read or listen to online foreign language news.
If you need help using the computers and/or the different programs, there should always be someone in the lab to assist you. The French and Spanish tutor is Winnie Cairns, and she is available for walk-ins (without appointment) on Thursdays and Fridays. Other lab workers are Hung Koo (for help with Chinese), Maria Hidalgo (for help with Spanish) and Christopher Trammel (for help in Elementary German class).
If you have any questions, you may contact the Lab Director, Professor Deborah Page in Muntz Room 323, or by email at Deborah.Page@uc.edu.
