The RWC Open House for new and prospective students was held Thursday, April 10. The Open House was a way for students and parents to learn more about RWC, and to discuss some of the things that new students are faced with.Mrs. Jenny Young gave the introduction, and a very enthusiastic Professor Ruth Benander facilitated the discussions. She encouraged participation by asking questions and sometimes calling on unsuspecting audience members to answer.
Professor Benander also gave a Powerpoint presentation on going to college and what RWC has to offer, such as disability services, the free tutoring and support services, financial aid counselors, a small learning environment, ample parking, and a diverse staff, a large percentage of whom have doctorates.
The students were then given the chance to meet with many of the faculty members and gain information on specific fields of study and take a tour of the facilities.
