Were you wandering around campus last fall in search of the “Blue Ash Review?” Take comfort in knowing that you did not miss it. This school year it is slated for delivery in the spring, just in time for poetry month (April). Keep in mind that distribution is limited; only about 50 copies are produced each year so check future editions of “The Activist” to find out when they become available.
If you have not heard of this publication, it is an RWC produced book that includes the best works from poetry and writing workshops, taught by Professors Rhonda Pettit and Michael Roos.
Additionally, it contains writings from winners of the high school and faculty contests that are conducted in the spring during poetry month. Occasionally a visiting poet will also submit a special piece for the college.
Though they are no longer accepting submissions for this year’s “Review,” they are looking for poetry to include in next year’s issue.
They are also in search of artwork for next year; so if you are a student that is interested in completing artwork that is reproducible in 8.5 x 11 black and white format, contact Professor Pettit at Rhonda.Pettit@uc.edu or 745-8319.
