Dear Ms. Carter,I want to thank you so much for the beautiful article you wrote about me in the October 18 issue of the Activist. My family, friends, and previous colleagues have been moved to tears by your compassionate and beautifully articulated piece. I was surprised and happy to see that the on-line version had my picture.
While I miss NY very much, I truly love being at Raymond Walters College. I don’t believe that I would have been able to receive the support this community, including the main campus, has shown me anywhere else. I will never be able to express how appreciative and thankful I am.
Ms. Carter, you should know that many of my Mom’s friends who are ill have found your piece on me inspirational. I am humbled to know that my story and your reporting has been a source of comfort to so many.
