When did pro sports stop being fun?

I read the above mentioned article written in the Nov 29th issue of the Activist. It was written by Danielle Browne and my question is: who is the source of her Yankee information on Nomar Garciaparra? The could not be further from the truth. I have two friends in the organization and neither believes that there is one ounce of validity to that claim. And so I wanted to make sure that I can let them know who her source was. One other comment; as to her reference “People are going to quit caring if it comes down to the Red Sox and Yankees every year in the AL” well I have to wonder what baseball she has been watching. It has come down to the Red Sox and Yankees for most of her 18 years, and even longer then that. And yet they continue to sell those games out year after year. I guess you would have to be from the East coast to understand the passion that true fans hold and to understand a good game when you see one. If it is Red Sox/Yankees every year for the rest of enternity, people will still be watching. I will pray that her NHL hockey returns so that she can stay away from subjects that she is unfamiliar with (baseball). Nothing bothers me more then a reporter who doesnt report accurate information.

Thanks,

Connie
