College Study Skills Lab offers help for exams

Most students see others who are doing well on tests studying in the hallway and wonder why their own efforts are not paying off. There are tried and true classic techniques and methods for students to prepare themselves for success. That’s what the RWC College Study Skills Lab is designed to help students with. There are recognizable traits of successful students.

Test, quiz, exam–these four-letter words will all generally strike anxiety into even the most prepared students.

The Study Skills staff suggest some questions for students to ask themselves to see if they are on the right path:

Do I have thorough notes to refer to?
Do I have to re-read my textbooks?
Have I started to study yet?
Do I even know where to begin?

Students who are currently enrolled in College Study Skills do have first priority in getting help in the Study Skills Lab. However, help in preparing for finals is open to any RWC student.

The Study Skills staff recommend that students stop by 112K Muntz in the computer concourses for an appointment or call 745-5730.
