RWC had three winners in the 8th annual All-University Student Writing Contest for first-year composition, sponsored by the University English Composition Committee and the Provost’s office. Students, their instructors, friends, and family attended the awards ceremony on Wednesday, May 18, at Tangeman University Center. Associate Dean, Don O’Meara served as the master of ceremonies.
The winners from RWC are as follows:
1st Place for English 101, Jayna Hardin for her essay, “Man’s Best Friend.” (Professor Tami Phenix)
3rd Place for English 101, Amy Honebrink, for her essay, “Pinching Pennies for Prescription Drugs: A Hard Pill to Swallow.” (Professor Ruth Benander)
1st Place for English 102, Scott Pardi, for his essay, “One Nation Under Whose God.” (Professor Mary Keys.)
