Electronic Media hires new production prof

In looking for a new faculty member for the RWC Electronic Media Program, the faculty on the search committee thought Eric Anderson was the perfect man for the job.Eric started out at the University of Edinborough in Pennsylvania with a degree in fine arts, but later switched to photography. He received his bachelor degree in applied media arts, focusing on film and video production.

He then moved on to work for two different TV stations, WICU in Erie, Pennsylvania, and then five years as Chief Videographer at WNWO in Toledo, Ohio.

He later pursued his Masters Degree in Interactive Multimedia at Ohio University, where he was also employed at the university’s own TV station, WOUB.

Now Professor Anderson is here on the RWC campus as Production Director in the Electronic Media Program, at the rank of Assistant Professor. He will be helping produce the new RWC TV station, which should be up and running some time in November.

Professor Anderson says, “It’s really great to be here,” and he really enjoys the city of Cincinnati.

“I like teaching at RWC because along with teaching students about media, I can still be a part of producing it as well,” he said.

Kerrie Leigh, a media production assistant and graduate of the media program said, “He’s awesome, and the students are very lucky to have him as a teacher.
