E-Media adds two new courses

This semester, the RWC Electronic Media Technology Program has added two more courses, Flash: Rich Media Design, taught by Dave Hubble, and Special Topics in Media II: Broadcast Media, taught by Eric Anderson. Rich Media Design introduces students to the development of rich media applications using Macromedia Flash. Students will explore the creation of graphics, text, and animation for the web, as well as the fundamentals of creating applications allowing users to interact with Flash movies.

The special topics class takes a look at a specific topic in the electronic media field. Broadcast Media will have students take a look at the development and production of news packages and short form documentaries. They will also study the concept and structure of photographic essays and video techniques that are used to produce stories for broadcasting.

There are no prerequisites for either class, but, according to Electronic Media faculty, it would be helpful if students in the Broadcast Media class have taken Video I or have had some experience in filming.
