Do you have anxiety when taking tests? Or do you feel like your test taking skills are not what they could be? Luckily you can get professional help for free in the RWC College Study Skills and Reading Center. As part of their services, the Center’s staff provide a confidential test review. This review is a detailed analysis of your test questions, test taking skills, and errors from your previously taken tests. These professionals will go over reasons for missing each question. The tutors like you to bring the notes you used to study for the test; they will review them with you. It will help to show you if the way you have taken the notes is helping you and what you can do differently. This will help you sharpen your test taking.
The test analysis can help you in almost every subject, only excluding math. It is very helpful in all other subjects, especially if it is a comprehensive test. Nursing students use this program a lot, according to the Study Skills staff.
The way this review works is that you will make an appointment with the Study Skills Center, in Muntz Hall Room 112K, and the staff will then send for the test from the teacher.
Remember that this is completely confidential. To see best results for the quarter, the staff recommends that you get in early and sharpen your skills for future tests. According to Study Skills staff, professors appreciate this program and have said that they have seen immediate results.
The Study Skills Center also recommends a preparation test review. Make an appointment before a test. You will receive test taking pointers and a general overview about all tests. According to staff, this can help with test anxiety as well.
All help provided by the Study Skills and Reading Center is free.
