Artist to present artistic side of Black history

On Monday, February 13, RWC will be hosting an artistic event in honor of Black History Month. Artist Sean Smith will show different displays with famous African American contributors. If you are unable to catch the first show from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., you don’t have to worry because there will be another one from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Students who attend will win a free gift if they take one of the two quizzes that will be available at the event. The first quiz will be on African American women, and the other will be a more general quiz in relation to Black history. The student that gets the most questions right will be awarded a flash key for his or her computer.

Free food will also be made available for all students who attend. All the food presented at this event will be authentic recipes taken directly from Booker T. Washington’s cookbook. Booker T. Washington was born a slave in Virginia, but through hard work and education, he became a powerful and famous African American spokesman.
