This year’s Hoxworth Community blood drive will be held on Wednesday February 8, in SAHB, Room 100, from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. They will be accepting donations in fifteen minute blocks; appointments are suggested. One donor will win a Jillian’s party pack that will be raffled for all blood donors. Donors must be healthy, at least seventeen years of age, and a minimum of one hundred-ten pounds. It is highly recommended that each person eat a good meal within four hours of donating; identification will definitely be required.
The Hoxworth Blood Center is looking for as many donors as possible. According to the Center, “Everyday at least 350 volunteer blood donors are needed to ensure a safe and adequate supply for our patients in the Tri-State Area.”
