On March 30, the RWC Nursing Program will hold an appreciation tea honoring all of the clinical agencies and registered nurses who helped and also supervised the RWC student nurses this year. The event will occur from 3 p.m. until 5 p.m. in SAHB Room 100l. It will then be followed by a brief program at 3:30 p.m., in which Marisue Naber, Professor of Nursing and Department Chairperson, and RWC Dean Dolores Straker will be present, and two students will speak on their clinical experience. The two hundred people invited will also receive tours of the Nursing labs.
According to Professor Naber, this event has never been done before, and so everyone affiliated with the program is very excited to honor these nurses who come in on a daily basis to help the students.
There is a shortage of nurses, Professor Naber explained; “Consequently, it is crucial for these nurses to know how much they are appreciated and just how important their work is.
