With spring registration here, a lot of us have made our schedules. Some may still be deciding on what classes to take, especially if you have struggled through the past couple quarters. The College Study Skills three-credit course can benefit students at any level who want to improve their study habits.
The course has three components: classroom lectures, individual lab work, and reinforcement and application sessions with a monitor. Two hours in the week will be in the classroom, one hour a week will be in the study skills lab, which is the independent study time, and 20 minutes a week will be an application of the studies with someone in the Study Skills Lab.
This schedule will reinforce that the information is being fully comprehended. The course has helped many to learn how to develop study techniques, get organized, manage time, improve test taking, and manage stress.
