Gaby Downey is one of five Democratic candidates running for Ohio’s next 2nd Congressional District representative in the May 2, Ohio primary. Downey, a government and history teacher at Milford High School, has been teaching students about the United States Government for the past 13 years. She believes that the country, as it has been built upon middle class citizens, should also be represented by middle class citizens. As a teacher she has worked hard to keep society informed about the U.S. government.
Downey wants to work towards putting an end to what often seems like a pointless war in Iraq and also providing a fix to the problems with affordable health care, decent public education, and the flight of our jobs out of the country.
