My World: RWC parking hassles

Free on campus parking is always a plus, but not when there are no available spaces to park in. I think I’d much rather pay an extra hundred dollars a quarter just for a guaranteed spot.Recently I spent twenty minutes driving around campus looking for a place to park. Every spot by Muntz, SAHB, and the new Vet Tech building were filled. At that point I was so frustrated, I was half tempted to park in Teachers Parking and get a ticket. Either that or just turn around and go home.

It seems that each year parking at RWC only gets worse. I can’t even remember the days of pulling straight into the lot, right into a parking space, and arriving to class on time. Now I leave my house an extra half an hour early just to make sure I’m not late for class. That’s just extra time wasted out of my day that I could spend doing school work, but instead I’m finding a place to park.

Maybe I’m making something out of nothing, but as a college student (a busy one at that), I find myself too busy to worry if I’m going to have a parking space at school that day. I have much more important things to be worrying about. But unless this issue is addressed, then I’m still going to worry, and I’m still going to be late for class.
