While the students and faculty of RWC were out enjoying their summers, the RWC facility management team has been working on a variety of projects. All of the RWC buildings and even the grounds and parking lots have seen some changes. In Muntz Hall, the Physics Lab stations were upgraded or replaced altogether. Space was built on the second floor for the Student Government to operate, while the third floor was upgraded to support an infrastructure for network systems.
Muntz rooms 306-309 have been converted into faculty spaces and learning centers. Room 131 was converted into a Student Lounge, while Room 127 was converted into a Student Life and Multi-Cultural Center. Muntz hall has also seen the addition of a new ID system.
But Muntz Hall was not the only building to see significant change. The SAHB saw the installation of new cabinets in the faculty/staff lounge, while the Flory Center had a new Day Care entrance installed and a remodeled center for the Professional Development Institute put in place. The Vet Tech buiding saw its floors repaired and a new security door installed. Vet Tech also saw the addition of new duct work and brand new kennel cages.
Other projects that are still underway include a repaired dog run area in Vet Tech and new furniture in the lounges of both SAHB and Muntz. The annex is also scheduled to have its roof replaced.
