In last issue, I talked about Hanson and their new CD. At the time, I didn’t have all the information about the album. I stated that it was coming out in the UK on March 5, but the date has since been changed. Now, the release dates for the album, which is titled “The Walk,” are officially set as the following: Japan–February 21
UK–April 30
US, Mexico, and Canada–May 22
You can take a sneak peak on Hanson.net. On January 24, Hanson surprised an unexpecting contestant on NBC’s “Deal Or No Deal.”
So far, “The Walk” is an interesting collection of songs, and it is different from anything they’ve ever done before. On this album, there’s a lot more lead shifting, as far as who sings the song. The songs in the preview are the charity single “The Great Divide,” a slower, more mellow song, “Go,” and the retro song “Running Man.”
I think this is going to be an awesome opportunity for Hanson to show that they are no longer the MMMBop band. I personally am very excited to hear the new album, as always.
