RWC poets perform their creative work

Three RWC poets have either already presented or will be presenting their work in public performances for the community during Spring Quarter.On April 10, RWC English professor Mike Roos was the featured poet at the Riverbank Poetry Project April poetry event. Roos performed his own songs, accompanying himself on acoustic guitar, steel guitar, and mandolin. The event was held at Hamilton’s Fitton Center for Creative Arts. Next Wednesday, April 18 at 7 p.m., RWC English Professor Rhonda Pettit (also known around campus as “the poetress/poetry pest”) will be a featured poet in the Poetry in the Garden series at the Main Library, 800 Vine St., Cincinnati. All readings are in the Reading Garden (first floor, South Building). Finally, on Tuesday, May 8, the Riverbank Poetry Project season ends with another round of music, open mic poetry, and featured poet Slammin’ John Kraimer, RWC’s Director of Disabilities Services. This event will also be held at the Fitton Center in Hamilton
Refreshments and live music begin at 6:30 p.m. John Kraimer’s poetry performance will begin at 7:15 p.m. to be followed by open mic poetry at 8 p.m.

All these events are free and open to the public.
