Wireless Internet invades RWC

After much controversy and what seems to have been a decade’s wait, our Raymond Walters campus has finally gone wireless. The wireless Internet connection, which can be picked up in spots spread throughout Muntz Hall and the SAHB, has brought nothing but positives to campus. After being influenced by numerous factors both inside and outside of the RWC campus, the move was finally made during this past summer. UC’s Uptown campus in Clifton and Clermont Campus have already been wireless for quite some time. The feedback from those two locations is mainly responsible for the installation of wireless Internet here at RWC.

It’s still early, so the feedback has yet to come in about this new campus feature. One noticeable fact about the wireless access across campus is that it has lightened traffic in our Library and computer labs. More and more students are bringing their laptops to school and sitting in areas other than the computer labs and Library, accessing the Internet.

Although you need your own personal account to access wireless on the RWC campus, it is very easy to gain. Just go to from any computer on campus, and follow the simple instructions to create your online account. RWC has stepped into the next generation, so let’s take advantage of it.
