Movie Review: “Regarding Henry” a modern classic

“Regarding Henry,” starring Harrison Ford, is, in my opinion, a somewhat modern classic. The film was shot in 1991 and follows Henry Turner, a workaholic lawyer whose life is turned upside down after being shot in the chest and head by a robber at a convenient store, resulting in brain damage. Henry must start from scratch to try to become the person he once was, but will he return to his workaholic ways or will this reawakening make him see things in a different light?

This movie is nothing short of amazing. Harrison Ford, probably known best for his role as Han Solo in the epic “Star Wars” films and as adventurer Indiana Jones, shows he can do more than just action movies. His ability to play such dramatically differing roles makes me envious of his ability to act.

The other stars of the film are nothing to overlook either. Bill Nunn plays Bradley, Henry’s personal therapist, and provides much needed comic relief so that the film does not overwhelm the audience with sadness.

If you’re more of an action or horror movie enthusiast, then this movie might not be for you, but if you want to see a quality movie that might make you rethink how precious life is, then this is a film for you.
