On The Spot: UC’s Uptown Campus

Approximately 10 miles away from RWC lies UC’s main ‘uptown’ campus in Clifton. Filled with numerous activities for students, main campus is the place to be. Whether you just want to hang out in the recreation center (accessible with a fee for RWC students), attend a free athletic event, or catch a movie in TUC’s theather, you would be hard pressed to find a dull moment in Clifton. Surprisingly, a lot of our students are unaware that we’re eligible for the same uptown campus benefits as those who attend classes in Clifton. Here are a few students sharing how they spend their time (if any) in Clifton.

Halie Limpert

“I usually spend about one night per week on main campus visiting people. I work most nights so I don’t get a lot of time to go down there too much.”

Cyril Martin III

“I usually spend about 10 hours per week down in Clifton. I like to use their book store. I also like to use the restaurants on main campus because they have great tasting food.”

Lanier Bade

“I never go down to main campus only because I don’t live anywhere near Clifton.”

Kyle Gulleman

“I like going down to main campus mainly so I can play basketball in the CRC. I also go down there a lot attending football and basketball games. They’re pretty cool to go to, considering they’re free!
