Phi Theta Kappa establishes Operation Green

Phi Theta Kappa is an international Honor Society for the two year college. It has many local chapters within colleges. Every three years they choose a service project to sponsor. Currently, the topic is Operation Green: Improving Our Communities. The goal is to focus our attention on the environment by helping improve our communities. As part of the campaign, the RWC Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa, Upsilon Psi, will be hosting a live Christmas tree recycle drive. After the holidays, Phi Theta Kappa members will be in the RWC parking lot awaiting people to drop off their no longer needed Christmas trees. The dates for the drive are January 5 and January 12, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Phi Theta Kappa hopes to recycle the Christmas trees so we do not expand the size of our landfills and help keep the communities we live in a little cleaner.
