Book Review: Bio for lovers and haters of Bob Knight

Enter the world of one of college basketball’s greatest coaches, and one of its most controversial: Bob Knight, the Legend, the Myth, and the flying chair. Everyone has heard of Bobby Knight. He’s the former coach of the Indiana Hoosiers and Texas Tech Red Raiders, but who knows Knight’s full story? In “Bob Knight: The Unauthorized Biography,” authors Steve Delsohn and Mark Heisler depict not only a great coach and motivator, but a sad old man who doesn’t take quitting or losing well.

This book truly is for college basketball fans. It’s even more for Bobby Knight lovers and haters. Most people are familiar with Knight’s anger, but how many people know where it originated? Not many.

Delsohn and Heisler truly depict the Lost Ark, which is Bobby Knight. The book offers humor and inspiration, but more times than not, sadness. Bobby Knight is truly a great coach, but he could have been better.

Delsohn and Heisler describe the opportunities and chances of success that were squandered and dashed. Perhaps that really makes this book even more enjoyable.
