Security offers jump starts and other services

As a reminder to RWC Students, UC Security officers would like to give an outline of the services that they offer. They ask that special attention be paid to the third item on the list, on the grounds that it seems few people are aware of these services. The first on their list is the College Lost and Found. They have a large supply of items currently in stock that they would like people to pick up.

On the list are a variety of items, including coats, gloves, textbooks, several sets of keys, and a large number of flash drives. Security officers add that most of the owners of the flash drives have been identified, and they are taking measures to locate the people who own them.

Second on the list, there is a couch in the back room of the Security Office in Muntz 134 for those who are feeling ill. A fully stocked first aid kit can also be found there for those needing assistance.

While Security officers do not have the ability to offer medical assistance, unless in extreme circumstances, they do have the ability to provide minor medications, such as Advil. For any injury that is of a severe nature, they are also on call to respond to the scene.

The Security officers would also like to have people pay special attention to the next item on their list. In the event that your car needs a jump start, they have the capabilities to do so. This service is obviously free and quite a bit faster than calling for off-campus assistance. They can also unlock any locked car doors.

The final service of note is the making of school I.D.s. While these are not completely necessary for all aspects of student life, they are handy in several ways. Having one made is completely free and should only take a few moments of your time.

For those planning on stopping by Muntz 134, the Security officers ask that you do so between the hours of 8 a.m. and 8 p.m.
