RWC’s 2008 British Study Abroad Program is holding another fundraiser this quarter to help reduce travel costs for students. This fundraiser will be raffling off a Fullerton acoustic guitar donated to the program by Professor Mike Roos of RWC’s English Department (see the photo).Tickets will be $1 each. Between now and April 30, anyone can buy tickets from one of the student participants in the program or from Program Faculty Leaders Mark Otten and Mike Roos.
As part of the fundraiser, the study abroad program will be hosting a booth at RWC World Fest on April 30. At this booth, students may challenge their knowledge in a round of Trivial Pursuit. For $1 participants will get the chance to answer three questions. For each question they answer correctly they will be awarded one more raffle ticket towards the guitar.
All proceeds go to the British Study Abroad Program which will be heading to England for a 3 1/2-week stay June 15-July 9. The special focus of this year’s program will be Charles Darwin and evolution.
