On The Spot: Historic choice

The United States Presidential election of 2008 will be held on Tuesday, November 4, and this historic election will be the 56th consecutive quadrennial United States Presidential election. This election is historical because for the first time we have an African American candidate for President and the first female candidate for Vice-President. Due to the economic crisis we are currently facing in the United States this election is very important to our future as Americans, so if you are currently unhappy with the status of our American economy, it is imperative that you make your contribution and vote in this coming election. For this Issue I proposed this question: Who will you be voting for in the 2008 presidential election, and why?

Justin Stewart

“I’m voting for John McCain. He is a war veteran and has a lot more experience than Senator Obama. John McCain has been at the heart of our American economy through this difficult economic crisis and has presented better ideas to try and fix the current status of our economy.”

Tyler Smith

“John McCain! McCain has all of the experience, unlike Obama. He’s a war veteran, unlike Obama, and he was a seven-year prisoner of war. McCain is a signature American and a role model for Americans.”

Andrew Brewer

“I will be voting for John McCain because he was a seven-year POW (prisoner of war) and is an experienced politician. Obama just does not have enough experience to be the president.”

Mike Worth

“Barack Obama. Obama is all about change. It’s even the slogan of his campaign. With our economy’s current condition any form of change can help. I feel McCain is too much like President Bush. and that’s why im voting for Obama.
