See what Career Services has to offer

Are you out of work? Or just want to change your line of work? If so, the RWC Career Services Office will be holding numerous workshops to help you in upcoming weeks. The first will be on January 21, 11 a.m.-12 p.m. and on Thursday, January 22, at 11 a.m.-12 p.m. The topic is Careers in High Demand. With the tough economy, come out and learn about the careers available to you.

There will be a resume writing workshop on Tuesday January 27, 12-1:30 p.m. and on Wednesday January 28, 12-1 p.m. There will be sample resumes available for you to look at while creating or making changes to your current resume. Find out what is needed to make your resume stand out from the others. There will be interview tips available to allow you to present yourself effectively, answer difficult questions, and negotiate your salary. This workshop will take place on Thursday February 5, at 12:30-1:30 p.m. and on Wednesday February 11, at 12-1 p.m.

Are you undecided on your major? If so, no problem. Career Services offers many kinds of assistance, such as helping students with deciding on a major, changing a major, or embarking on a career path that fits their personality. This work shop will be held Tuesday February 24, 12:30-1:30 p.m. and on Wednesday February 25, 11 a.m.-12 p.m.

On March 10, at 12:30-1:30 p.m., there will be a Step Up to Step Out workshop. This workshop will focus on what employers want students to learn. You just may be surprised. If you have any questions, stop in Room 125 Muntz, right across from the Bookstore, or call 745-5671.
