Are you interested in standing out when it comes to getting a job? If so, Career Services will be holding a workshop called “Step Up to Stand Out.” This workshop will address how to “step up” in college in order to “stand out” against the crowd. The workshop will cover what many employers want students to learn while in college. Some of the answers may surprise you.
This workshop will be held at two different times, the first one starting on Tuesday, March 10 from 12:30-1:30 p.m., and the second on Wednesday, March 11 from 11 a.m.-noon. Both workshops will be in Muntz Room 111.
Career Services will also be holding a Career Fair Wednesday April 22 from 10:30 a.m-1 p.m in Muntz Lobby and hallway. With the tight job market, finding a job is getting harder. Students and alumni may attend. This workshop will allow people to network as well as discuss job openings for full-time, part-time, internship and volunteer opportunities. Career paths are available within many fields of study.
Participants should prepare a resume and dress in a business or professional outfit. If you have any questions or need help preparing, contact Career Services in Muntz Hall, Room 125 (across from the Bookstore) or call 745-5671.
