FOCUS is a self-guided program that will help students make decisions their career goals and major areas of study. FOCUS can help to students to choose a career path, change a career path, or confirm student’s preferences toward a certain career field. Some of the benefits of using Career planning systems like FOCUS are, this program helps students become more motivated and goal focused. Students that are invested in career planning tend to have a higher academic achievement, fewer transfers and switching of majors, and graduate on time.
