Provost congratulates College on re-accreditation

Letter to the Raymond Walters Community from Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs and Provost Anthony J. Perzigian:Heartiest congratulations to Raymond Walters College, to Dean O’Meara, and to Marlene Miner, whose team prepared a very thoughtful, comprehensive self study. Having reviewed the self study, I was not surprised to hear that the visiting team will be recommending 10-year re-accreditation. The self study together with the findings of the consultant evaluators clearly demonstrates that the HLC’s criteria are being met. The RWC family should be very proud. Through a rigorous, peer-reviewed process, the quality and effectiveness of RWC’s academic enterprise was validated. This should be the source of greater self-confidence, and we’ve earned continuing public support as well as the interest of prospective students. This re-accreditation self study and review is also an excellent planning platform from which we can now proceed to build an even stronger academic entity, an entity that will propel the University of Cincinnati into a leadership role in the USO.
