International Education Week Begins November 16

The week of November 16 is International Education Week at UC with events planned on all campuses, including RWC. There will be three culturalogue presentations at RWC, where students will be able to learn more about the three exciting trips that RWC will be offering during the summer of 2010. Also during the week, a few feature length films will be shown that focus on particular countries. Below are the schedules for the feature films and culturalogue presentations:

Mon., 11/16, 2-4 p.m., “The Spy Who Came In From The Cold” (1965)

6-8 p.m., “Goodbye Lenin” (2003)

Wed., 11/18, 2-4:30 p.m., “El Orfanato”

Thurs., 11/19, 2-4:45 p.m., “A Passage to India” (1984)

Mon., 11/16, 1-2 p.m., Prof. Debbie Page, German Exchange Program

Tues., 11/17, 1-2 p.m., Prof. Ruth Benander, British Study Abroad

Wed., 11/18, 1-2 p.m., Prof. Angie Woods, Costa Rica Study Abroad

There will also be an information meeting for the 2010 British Study Abroad program at 3 p.m. on Wed., November 18, in Room 151 SAHB.

Students also have the opportunity to win free roundtrip airfare anywhere in the world, by attending at least two of these events and getting a passport stamp for each event attended. For passports, see Professor Debbie Page, or ask about the drawing at any of the events.
