Percussion Group Cincinnati, a trio of master percussionists from the University of Cincinnati’s College-Conservatory of music, promises to bring a world of sound to RWC for the third concert of the Rhythm ‘n’ Blue Ash series, Saturday, January 30. In its 30 years of existence, the group has garnered international acclaim for concert performances and recordings of contemporary composers. Percussion Group Cincinnati’s unique arsenal of instruments includes drums, vibraphones, gongs, amplified cactus needles, newspapers, and even trash cans.
In their concert here, the trio will introduce some of John Cage’s work, along with their own mix of groovy rhythms, and unique compositions.
