Study Skills Lab Offers Hidden Rewards

Hidden within the deep recesses of the computer concourse (down the short hallway next to the Writing Lab at Muntz 112k) lurks a lab where valuable strategies and theories are carefully presented to students eager to improve their effectiveness and efficiency in studying. The goal of the RWC Study Skills Lab is to transform the confused into the knowledgeable, the disorganized into the organized, and the unconfident into independent, self reliant, critical thinkers.

Staff in the Lab can help students achieve this goal with most subjects taught at Raymond Walters.

Check out workshops and test review services offered in the Lab as well. For study tips and valuable information, ask your instructor about sharing the Study Skills Snippets newsletters with the class.

The adjacent Reading Lab affords a private, quiet place to study if needed.

Hours are 8 a.m.-4 p.m. Monday-Thursday and 8 a.m.-3 p.m. on Fridays. The Lab is closed Monday 2-3 p.m. and Wednesday 10-11 a.m.

Call 745-5730 or stop in for an appointment.
