Every magazine you pick up is filled with tips on how to be beautiful. You’re supposed to follow certain steps to eventually look like someone else. Society tries to put a face on beauty every opportunity available through media and other different forms of big, fancy advertisement.
While I appreciate the fashion world for what it is, I don’t appreciate the media trying to sell us their definition of beauty. We’re living in a superficial world that’s basically saying that what we were born with isn’t good enough.
I’ll give you a new guide to follow for the year 2010:
Wash your face with a mild cleanser, moisturize your skin, brush your teeth and look into the mirror. What do you see? You should see you– the real you.you know, minus the makeup jewelry, or fancy clothing.
Now embrace that person you see staring back at you. Be thankful for every feature or flaw that you may have. You are unique; there is no one quite like you. Now smile, because you’re happy to be you!
Be content with the bare essentials that keep you clean and healthy, like toothbrushes, a comb, and daily vitamins. Pay attention to the small things, that make you beautiful and one of a kind. Take time to enhance the features you love about yourself every day. Take really good care of your skin, and maintain good health.
Hollywood says get Botox, liposuction and silicone, which can be hazardous to your health. Glue in longer hair, wear fake nails and tons of makeup–basically be someone you’re not.
Well, I’m here to tell you that you don’t have to resort to such drastic measures to be beautiful. Try bringing these natural and safe habits into action:
Drink plenty of water, get plenty of rest, and eat more fruits and vegetables for a clear complexion. Research some effectively proven workouts that will work for you, and choose a healthy diet that allows you to still eat real food but lose unwanted weight.
Take vitamins to grow your hair and nails to your desired length. And visit your dermatologist, who can recommend some effective skin care products to prevent blemishes so that you don’t have to spend money covering up that gorgeous skin with makeup.
So don’t waste another minute trying to cover up your true beauty. Reveal the radiant woman on the inside!
