In an effort to help local families offset the high cost of college, RWC is currently accepting applications for a variety of scholarships offered through the college. More than 52 scholarships worth over $40,000 is available only to RWC students.Awards for full- and part-time students are based on a range of factors, such as academic achievement, community service, and financial need. Also, the amount and requirements for the scholarships vary.
The application form, along with details for each RWC scholarship, is listed on RWC’s web site at http://www.rwc.uc.edu/. Note that applications must be in the Enrollment Services office by 5 p.m. on Monday, March 1 to be considered. Scholarship recipients will be notified by April 1, 2010.
RWC also provides an “Academic Outreach Scholarship” which is awarded automatically to incoming freshman students who are ranked in the top 25% of their high school graduating class. This $1,500 scholarship will be awarded automatically to qualifying incoming freshman students in $500 installments each quarter of their first year as long as students maintain a 3.0 grade-point average.
