Coming to RWC beginning the last weekend of February will be a celebration of student created visual arts and performances from Grammy-nominated Zak Morgan and a family of fiddling Irish Step-dancers. Festival in the Woods, an exhibit of nearly 4000 student works of art, opens Friday, February 26. The exhibit is sponsored by Plaza Artist Materials and Picture Framing, is free and open to the public, and runs through April 1.
Helping to kick-off Festival in the Woods, recording artist Zak Morgan takes the stage February 27, as part of RWC’s ARTrageous Saturdays performing arts series. Tickets are $5. Audiences are encouraged to arrive early for performances by strolling magicians in the lobby during the hour before the show. ARTrageous Saturdays is sponsored by the City of Blue Ash.
Rounding out the roster of RWC art events will be a performance from the Hunt Family Fiddlers, March 6, as part of the Rhythm ‘n’ Blue Ash Concert Series. The Hunt Family performs its blend of fast footwork and fiery fiddling, March 6, at 8 p.m. in Muntz Theater. Advance tickets are $10 for adults, $12 at the door. Student/Child tickets are $5.
