Worldfest Celebration is coming to Raymond Walters. RWC’s Office of Multi-Cultural Student Affairs is hosting the weeklong event this coming April 23-30. Students, faculty, and staff are encouraged to participate in the celebration of the many cultures RWC has on campus. Worldfest is held in various locations throughout the RWC campus grounds, including Muntz Hall, the Science and Allied Health Building, and the Campus Courtyard and Commons. Most of the activities are free and open to the campus community.
Details for all the Worldfest events are not yet finalized, but students can expect a Worldfest kickoff celebration, lots of food and games, RWC’s Green Walk for Health event, a Diversity Fair with booths and live musical performances, a Reading Across Cultures event, and a Grand Finale cookout.
“It takes the RWC community to make Worldfest a true reflection of diversity in race, ethnicity, age, religion, socio-economic status, sexual orientation, gender, and disability,” said director of RWC Multi-Cultural Student Affairs Helen Kegler. “We need students’ talents and interests to help make Worldfest happen.”
Any students interested, either as an individual or with a group, who would like to participate in Worldfest by sponsoring a booth or showcasing their talent, should stop by Muntz 127 or email Helen.Kegler@uc.edu for registration information.
