The first week of November is Non-Traditional Student Week, including three activities open to all RWC non-traditional students. All three events will take place in the Muntz Hall Lobby, 11 a.m.-1 p.m. On Monday, November 1, the first activity will be a table where non-traditional students can get information about financial planning, like budgeting and spending tips. A Medicaid representative will also be on hand to help non-traditional students determine their eligibility and begin their applications for Medicaid.
There will also be information on different types of parenting skills, as well as information on how to join the Alpha Sigma Lambda National Honor Society for Non-Traditional Students.
On Wednesday, November 3, the OSU extension representative will be doing a cooking demonstration called “Eating Smart: Being Active,” with free samples of foods that are low cost, nutritional, and quickly made. On Friday, November 5, student-parents will be recognized and will take part in a service project for Children at One Way Farm.
