As Americans are being exposed to Apple’s Ipad, China, the birthplace of technology, presents the new Apad. The Apad is a clone of Apple’s Ipad but it maximizes on the flaws of the Ipad. The Apad has a smaller screen (7″ versus the iPad’s 9.7″) but provides many things that the Ipad does not, including a webcam, a USB port, and a memory card slot. It runs on the Android Operating System.
Chinese developers are hoping that the Apad poses as a competitor for the Ipad. The Apad sells on Amazon for $159.99, significantly cheaper than the Ipad, which starts at $499.
