Adopt-A-Family is a program sponsored by RWC’s Staff Council. The program assists students that need help in affording gifts for their family during the holidays. Every year the council accepts names of students that need assistance. Then a “Wish List” for the family is composed of items that they would like for the holidays. All the forms for the programs are reviewed to see if the students truly need the service.
The students that are chosen are the ones who have had a serious hardship through an illness, a disaster, or other unforeseen emergencies. These forms are private and are not meant to be disclosed to anyone else.
The Staff Council sponsors the student and family by purchasing gifts for them, and they help alleviate one stress around the holidays.
