Writing Center Welcomes Two New Tutors

Eric Van Hoose and Adam Vine are the two new faces in the Writing Center. Eric Van Hoose hails from Dayton originally. He got his undergraduate degree from the University of Cincinnati and a graduate degree from Syracuse. Van Hoose is in his first formal year as an adjunct professor here, but spent two years in grad school also teaching. He tutors in the Writing Center along with teaching a Prep-Composition class. He likes music, loves writing short fiction, and says he wishes he could write more.

Adam Vine, originally from Milwaukee, worked for four years on UC’s Uptown Campus before coming to RWC. Vine got his degree from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and is in his seventh year as a tutor. He loves to travel and because of that, ended up here in the Cincinnati area. During his years traveling around the country in a manner called “Urban Camping,” he visited the area and eventually ended up coming back to stay.

The Writing Center, located in the Computer Concourse area in Muntz Hall, is open Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m., Fridays 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturdays (by appointment) from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
